At Graves & Swanson LLC, we are committed to addressing the unique needs of victims of crime through the civil justice system. We have extensive experience representing survivors of sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence.  Gendered or sexualized violence, abuse and trauma can impact a person’s life in myriad ways and implicate a variety of legal issues, such as employment discrimination and harassment claims, workplace safety accommodations, family law issues, tort actions, protective order proceedings, educational opportunities, housing and more.

We understand that each client’s situation is unique. Accordingly, our representation of survivors of sexual and domestic abuse is grounded on an empowerment model of victim advocacy, whereby each client controls the direction of his or her case and the remedies sought. We analyze our clients’ needs with an eye toward providing holistic legal services within our core practice areas, with the ultimate goal of helping them heal and seek justice for wrongs done to them. Although the civil justice system cannot provide a remedy in every case, and pursuit of civil legal action may not be appropriate for everyone, attorneys Jacqueline Swanson and C.J. Graves are dedicated to fighting for the rights of survivors through law, policy and education.

If you are a survivor of sexual assault, domestic violence, or child sexual abuse, please know that you are not alone, and – most importantly – that it is not your fault. If you are interested in learning more about what legal remedies may be available to you, please feel free to contact the law offices of Graves & Swanson LLC.
